How to build and edit a client report
Choose a report type and a look, and Clientdeck writes the first draft from your client's numbers. Edit anything, add widgets, then publish when you're happy. It reads like a person wrote it, and every figure comes from the connected data.
1. Start a new report
Open the client's page and choose New report. Pick a report type. Types marked Ready are connected, so the numbers arrive on their own. Types marked You fill in need you to type the numbers.
2. Choose a look
Pick the feel you want, then the exact style. There are many styles, from one big number to a full month at a glance. Every style takes on your client's brand colour. Some styles are on higher plans.
3. Pick the numbers
For Meta, choose what to report on (the whole account, a campaign, an ad set or a single ad) and a date range, then choose Build from Meta. Clientdeck writes the report in about a minute.
4. Edit anything
Your report opens as a preview. From there you work through four steps: Refine your words, Add widgets, Brand and style, and Publish. Click any text to change it. Or ask Clientdeck to reword it in plain language, such as “simpler language” or “shorten the opening”. Only the words change. Your numbers, widgets and layout stay put.
5. Add widgets
Choose Add a widget between sections. A widget marked From your data is built from the connected numbers. A widget marked You fill in holds figures or words you type yourself. Drag widgets to reorder them and remove any you don't need.
6. Check it, then publish
Every figure comes from the connected account or from numbers you type in. Clientdeck writes the words around them. It doesn't calculate or make up figures. Read it through, because it's your report and your name on it. Choose Publish to portal and your client can see it straight away. Until then it stays a private draft. You can also email it to your client or download a PDF.
Next: get your client to sign off
