Let us be straight. DashThis has been building dashboards since 2011, with more than 34 data connectors, over 50 preset templates, and thousands of agencies using it. White labelling is solid, even on their entry plan. If you want a clean dashboard you can put your logo on and get running fast, DashThis is a strong, mature tool and you should use it. DashThis bolts commentary onto a dashboard. Clientdeck writes the whole report as a document in your brand voice, then lets your client actually read it, comment and sign it off. Here is where that difference matters.
1. Commentary bolted on, or a report already written
DashThis gives you a grid of widgets from a library of preset templates, plus an AI Insights feature. It adds bullet point callouts to a chart or dashboard, and the fuller version sits behind a paid add on. You are still choosing widgets, laying out the dashboard and deciding what the month actually means. Clientdeck writes the whole report for you: the numbers, the plain language explanation of what happened and why, and the layout, chosen from twelve distinct designed styles. There is nothing to assemble.
2. Your client actually signs off
DashThis has a comment feature, but by their own description it is an annotation your team drops on a chart, for your own context. It is not a reply from the client, and there is nowhere for the client to approve anything. Clientdeck's approval works the other way round. The client opens the report on a link with no login, comments on it and approves it themselves. You finish the month with a written yes from the client, not a dashboard nobody responded to.
As of September 2026 we could not find another major client reporting tool that lets the client reply and approve on the report itself. We check monthly and will say so here if that changes.
3. Same sticker number, better real terms
DashThis prices in US dollars, from about US$44 a month paid annually, or US$54 paid monthly, up to about US$429 annually or US$499 monthly. Since March 2026 their tiers count your data sources as well as your dashboards, so adding connections can move you up a tier. Clientdeck prices in New Zealand dollars: NZ$49 up to NZ$399 a month, flat, whatever your mix of clients and reports looks like. Line the numbers up and the sticker price looks similar. It is not the same money. A US dollar buys more than a New Zealand dollar, so the same digits go further with Clientdeck. We will not put a fixed exchange rate on this page since it moves, but check today's rate yourself and the gap is real.
