Comparison
Clientdeck vs Whatagraph
The honest version. Where each one wins, and how to choose.
Let us be straight. Whatagraph is a genuinely capable tool. It has more than 55 native integrations, and Whatagraph IQ can generate summaries and branded reports from a prompt, or connect to Claude and ChatGPT so you can query your own data directly. That is real, useful AI, not a gimmick. Clientdeck does one thing instead: it writes a finished, branded report in each client's own brand and voice, and lets the client respond and approve it themselves, at a price built for a small or mid sized agency, not an enterprise budget. Here is where that matters.
1. The approval still stops with your team
Whatagraph has a review and approval step built in, but per their own product it is internal: your staff approve a report before the client ever sees it. Clientdeck's approval happens after the client sees it. They open the report on a link with no login, comment on it and approve it themselves. That is a different job. Theirs checks your team's work. Ours gets a written yes from the client.
As of August 2026 we could not find another major client reporting tool that lets the client reply and approve on the report itself. We check monthly and will say so here if that changes.
2. Priced for enterprise budgets, not small agencies
Whatagraph's plans sit at the premium end and are built with larger, enterprise oriented agencies in mind. Clientdeck's plans run from NZ$49 to NZ$399 a month, flat, built for an agency running a handful of clients up to a growing team. If Whatagraph's pricing has ever made you wince, that is not an accident. It is not aimed at you.
3. A finished report either way, but only one is built for your size
Whatagraph's branded reports and dashboards look polished, and its AI querying is genuinely strong. Clientdeck's reports are just as finished, with thirteen distinct designed layouts and a written narrative included, and they sit inside a plan priced for a small or mid sized agency, with the client's own approval built into every report.
